I was fascinated by an idea. And i tried it on my bro.
He was having trauma, perhaps, when crossing the drain last time. From then onwards, he tried to jump over anything he perceived as a drain. When we normally just walk across a small drain, he would hesitate on the edge, then jumped over with two legs across it. It was a bad conditioning, and i what i did was trying to help him overcome it himself.
I placed two of my Hush puppies on the floor. And I asked him to walk over it. He did it without any problem.
Then i altered the Puppies. I widened the gap and asked him to walk across. He hesitated a moment, but did it without any problem.
Next I altered the command. I asked him to step on one end of the Puppy before walking across the gap. He did it.
Later I told him to step on one end of the Puppy and cross over the other end before walking normally to the designated point. He did it again.
Finally I asked him to cross our drain. It's narrower than the width of my tummy (OMG wad a description...), he hesitated but alas he crossed it without having to leap!
Not a bad idea at all. Let's see what he can do next time.
