Evil

People are born evil

Or does evil generates from free will?

It's like yesterday when God makes us the best of its cr8tion, and then the cr8tion a.k.a. homo sapiens became discontented with the world and so they(we) cr8 chaos 2wards the land we call Earth.

Why does evil exist? It's like asking if God exist. Even you admit God does exist (admitting is not the same as the fact that it does/doesn't, it's jz perception), do you believe in Him/Her/It? Well, technically speaking, if you cannot show who is the one who cr8ed all these thgs u see on Earth, then the only SIMPLE explanation left is that these r the works of God (or Almighty). Yet, if u ask, if everythg is cr8 to be perfect, then why does evil exist?

1st thing in mind, is evil a manifestation of imperfection? Evil, in a generic view, is the act of counter-balancing the perfection of this world. If God cr8s, evil destroys. Simple. But why does God cr8s evil?

One says evil is nt cr8d by God, rather it is cr8d by man. Man cr8d God from the gift of Free Will. The power to disobey, disrespect, and dispute the Law. Well, choice is but just an illusion between good and evil. We decide for ourselves, but our decision is a toy which juggles the scales in favor between the two poles. What makes us unique is that no human being is united to support either pole, most of us are just on the fence, siding the greater good.

That, is human nature. That, is human weakness. And that, is where evil comes from.

  1. That's one very good argument. I like it!
Can I give my point here?
How exactly do we know that one thing is good and the other, evil? Goodness is measured using what scale, etc. And how evil is evil? Our notion of these must have come from somewhere, doesn't it? We see a colour, purple(so we think it is). How do we know that it is indeed the colour we claim it to be? In our 'moral judgement', we know what good and evil is because that's how we're created. A sense of judgement and morality, that proves God has a standard for good and evil(since He exist), so imparts it to us humans his creation, that's how we 'know'. Our laws put in place and our system of morality in the society today all points to God.
Evil as defined, something that is lacking in goodness. Yes, imperfection, like a sub-standard. Question after question of the existence of evil somehow contra the existence of God as being a perfect being.
In Christianity, there's a fight between good and evil, but ultimately, good will triumph.
Free will and Evil does come in a combo like u said(I'm craving for a happy meal). Rather than man creating god, it is because of the 'free will' and choice, that man does evil(chose sin). The fall of humans. Whether or not God exists, it is a question of faith. Nobody can claim that they saw God. We see evidence of His craftsmanship(nature, the planets, this universe...). I don't deny there's evil in this world. Personally, when I know what evil is, I know that God is good.

  2. In the name of God, we do all the good things. In the name of God, we lay our prayer to the Almighty. In the name of God, we pursue our ambition. In the name of God, we achieve victory. In the name of God, what can't we do?

That is not a question. What do you think goodness is? Some kind of good emotions emerged from a comfortable experience? Nay, I'd rather think goodness is the opposite of badness. As simple as primary school vocabulary class. Whatever is good, it should make the person feel comfortable, and vice versa. After all, good or bad, they come as a combo (i wanna eat dinner plate...).

  3. I think everyone has a 'standard' of what good is. In certain societies in the world, abandoning their parents when they are old is 'good'. Others treat their parents with respect and the thought of chucking them into old folks' is frowned upon. There's like a relativity. I like Kant's ethics, the maxim, the categorical imperative.
I feel, evil is not a perversion of what is good, but rather it's seeking to replace good. If you want something badly (that is good) and it's not the question of how and what u are willing to do to get it is wrong la, no matter how good the objective is.

  5. I got that on my rack.It was a good story. I bought that to a friend too. Was very enlightening in a simple perspective of good and evil, just been told in a twisted manner.
